Learn More About Your Senior Cat
When your friend begins to slow down, to put on a little weight or stiffen up, they need your help and understanding. Unlike a fellow human, your friend can’t take responsibility for its care. Your friend relies on you!
When is My Pet a Senior?
Cats over 8 years are considered to be senior. As we and our pet get older, we start noticing that both our bodies and theirs change a bit. This can be normal but sometimes there can be more than the ageing process going on. Ageing means that organs can start to show signs of wear and tear and like anything these problems are best faced early.
Observe your pet for the EARLY WARNING SIGNS of aging and age-related diseases. We would advise that older pets are examined twice annually to check their general health. A lot can happen in a year if you are approaching or over the 100 animal years old!
